“Be nice to others.” Something we have been told since we were little children. Looking back at it now, I see the importance that it has not only on yourself, but also on others. One can not tell how a person truly is, especially if you don’t know them well. Yes, that boy is always smiling and laughing, but what no one really knew is that his life at home is quite toxic. That girl is really mean to everyone, maybe it’s because something has been bothering her conscience and she can’t help but take it out on others.
Being nice can be something from getting someone a small gift to simply smiling and greeting each other. Those small things can make a huge difference. A simple smile can make someone’s day. We need to start taking our actions into consideration and thinking about how they affect those around us. It shouldn’t really matter what attitude the others have, they probably have their own reasoning behind it. If there is something we can do for others, it would be showing appreciation and kindness.
These past few months have really changed people and I feel as if most aren’t doing as well as they were before. So, I suggest greeting fellow classmates and teachers when we get back on campus. We need to be there for each other and feel support through all the chaos that is going on. Think of it as a way to give back. If we all start respecting and caring for each other, not only will our school, but also our community become a better place. I feel as if it is important that people learn to respect and appreciate each other. Hopefully we can all understand that everyone goes through their own struggles and being rude just unnecessarily adds onto the problem.
YES. Totally agree. I think we have gotten strangely critical and aggressive recently, despite hidden issues, and once those issues arise, we pretend we were never mean in the first place. Better to prevent the problems in the beginning by being nice. Love it
