My New Guitar

Right before quarantine impacted our lives, I decided to buy a bass guitar. I’ve been trying to teach myself using online resources for six months, and have progressed well. I would say I am close to the intermediate level, but not quite their yet. As I got better at bass I also found great joy in writing lyrics for songs, but couldn’t get a grip on how to write chords for them. Since bass guitar doesn’t use many chords, I decided to experiment with chords by buying a normal electric guitar. I went online, and found the perfect deal. The deal included a Squire Affinity Guitar that included a case, picks, strap, and an amplifier. all for only 200 dollars. When it came home in mid September, I ran downstairs in excitement, caught a whiff of the scent of fresh wood, and took out my glorious sunburst colored guitar. I have to say the electric guitar and bass are way different, and require different skills. Unlike bass, the electric guitar strings are really close, and require more precision. As of now I am recovering from surgery, and writing this from my home on my bed.

  1. I love how you are exploring more passions from yourself by using the internet. People forget we have that access sometimes. Good luck on your songs and your surgery
