“there’s no place like home”

During this time, I’ve done a lot of thinking and adjusting. I’ve had to adapt to this new way of living that we call quarantine. When I am not working on homework and studying for tests, I like watching movies/shows, hanging out with my siblings, and just sitting outside in my backyard watching the sunset. I’ve also realized how fortunate I am because there are so many people who might be struggling right now. I am extremely lucky to have a roof over my head, a comfy bed to sleep on, and family members to spend time with.

I’ve felt that my stress levels have gone down. I will admit that online learning is much more difficult than face-to-face learning, but with the district issuing the “Do No Harm” policy, I’ve been pretty relaxed. I don’t take this policy as a way of not doing anymore work, but it assures me that everything is going to be okay. I’ve also had some thoughts about my summer this year. Summer break starts in about 3 weeks and all I can think about is how much I’ll be missing out. Every summer, I’m always pretty busy while finding time to relax and have fun. But this year, it’s sad to know I’ll probably only be staying home. However, I don’t think of it as all bad. I’ll be able to make more memories in the place that I love with the people I love.
