During this quarantine, I have had a lot of free time to do arts and crafts. I’ve made quite a few things during these quarantine for family and friends. My personal favorite was making matching pajama pants for me and my boyfriend. I got to visit him during quarantine and brought him some snacks. These pants were one of my favorite projects because my grandma helped me. It was really nice to see my work being appreciated and I liked the end results a lot.

I also made an adorable Minecraft bee stuff animal, which was so much fun. I have a friend who thinks Minecraft bees are the cutest creatures ever, so I made this for them. This project was the most difficult stuffed animal I ever made. There was no template I could use for this so I had to create the design from scratch. The wings are also no more than a pixel wide visually so I had to be delicate when creating them. It was all worth it in the end though to see the joyous look on my friend’s face as I gave them it.

This rabbit was made for Mandy back in October.

I honestly forgot how much joy sewing brought me during the second semester as I was trying to focus more on my grades. At the beginning of the school year I had way more free time to sew stuffed animals and make crafts. I often made them to gift to my friends on their birthdays. Like this bunny that I made for Mandy’s birthday at the beginning of the school year. It brought me a lot of joy to see Mandy appreciate it and how happy she was.

I made the iconic penguin from Adventure Time, Gunther.

This was one of my first projects for a really good friend of mine. My friend loves penguins and one of their favorite shows was Adventure Time, so I sewed this for them. They were an avid fan of the show and was very happy to be gifted it. I was very glad that they absolutely loved my gift to them. This was the first project I made all alone with no assistance from my mother or grandmother. I was so estatic because of my friend’s reaction, it sort of started my obsession with making stuffed animals.

Quarantine has given me a lot of time to work on projects and make gifts for my friends. I plan on making a bunch of gifts for my friends to give them when I can finally go and hang out with them. I really enjoy making crafts and am glad quarantine has given me more time to create them. The sewing machine is a place that gives me much comfort and is something I can do with my grandma and mom.
