I never would have imagined the world being in this state of lock down. Growing up, I have seen funny cartoons about being locked in during a zombie apocalypse. But, now that we are actually locked in, there is nothing funny about this. It seems so unreal that everyday has changed so much, which is why I am always in disbelief. I sometimes can’t accept the fact that there is a deadly virus going around and we are supposed to stay home to protect the world. Usually, at the end of the week, my friends and I would hang out or play basketball together at the park or gym. But now, I have not seen my friends for nearly three months, I have only talked with them over the phone. Everyday, I hope that we are moving as fast a possible into the future where this virus is tamed and a vaccine is created. But, I know that sitting on the couch and wishing for something so difficult to achieve won’t do anything other than get your hopes up.

Everyday is the same for me. Nothing new. Nothing exciting. I feel as if I am a robot programmed to do a set of actions continuously on a loop. I wake up, brush my teeth, wash my face, then watch some television. After, I eat breakfast while watching cartoons on my computer. As I finish up my breakfast, I get my games ready to play for the next four hours, then I finish up my online school work. After that, I work out and take a shower. Lastly, I go to sleep and wake up in the afternoon, and repeat this schedule over and over again. I can not put into words how boring my everyday life is now, there is no competition or fun, just boredom. But, I must do my part and stay home. Although, you would think there is less stress in staying home everyday, I cannot stop hearing about the corona virus on the news. As annoying as it is, it is reality, and we are all going through this whether we enjoy or not.

For now, I am just trying to get through and finish up my online school year. I find physically going to school easier than online school because everything is more organized. But, online school will help us students get through with the virus for now. Hopefully, everything will come together soon, so that we students can return to our regular learning at school. As I continue my wait for normal everyday life to return, I will also continue to wish the best for everyone one who is at home. My friends and I find this hard, but at least we all get to play games for hours everyday. We should all be optimistic for the future and respect social distancing if we want to get rid of COVID-19. As I go on with my boring loop of everyday life, I will look forward to our world return to its regular state of being.
