Mom’s Delightful Food

As of writing this, it is Mother’s Day and it has been a blast. However, to some people it may not be a blast due to quarantine being a bummer. However, that’s okay because we have to make the most out of a bad situation. One thing I’ve really enjoyed during quarantine however is the food that there is. On the other hand… it really isn’t helping me lose weight or to stay healthy because I should honestly go outside more often. However, there is one thing I can always appreciate and love, which is my mother’s cooking because she spends her time just to make it for you. Moreover, you don’t have to worry about certain preservatives as much because it’s homemade and you know whats in it.

How To Cook Rice on the Stove - Best Way to Make White or Brown Rice

Rice is life.

Overall, I enjoy rice because it’s simple and easy to eat. It can supplement about anything and it just is a good source of carbs. It also helps balance any food out that may be too salty. Rice is one of the staples of any type of food I eat. It helps bring simplicity to my life and I don’t want things to be too complicated. I like to enjoy the simple things in life.

  1. Do you cook your own rice? Do you use a pot on the stove or a rice cooker. I’m kinda terrible at cooking rice, but I’m working on it. When I was a kid I didn’t like rice. Weird. My wife just bought me a rice cooker so we will see if that helps.

    • Yes – I like to cook my own rice. I often think its therapeutic and is fun to make. It helps me feel relaxed and is very easy to do. Haha, I wish I knew how to cook rice with a pot but I use a rice cooker. I should probably learn how to so I can cook rice with gas if I didn’t have any electricity.
