Health During Quarantine

Staying healthy during quarantine has been more difficult than I had expected. Most of the time, I get so caught up in the work that I do on a daily basis that I typically forget to do simple things like eat lunch, or do a daily workout. Most of the time, I usually just heat up frozen food that doesn’t take up too much of my time to make because I typically need all the time I can get to study, or do my weekly assignments. On days that I do go out, I typically will try and buy food from restaurants that I can pick up or go through drive thru’s. Life in quarantine has definitely made me miss all the things I used to do before this event occurred. I was the type of person that didn’t like being at home all the time, I loved being outdoors and going out to eat or just doing something very active. Staying at home has definitely given me the opportunity to spend more time with family, but it has made me miss the life I used to live.

My favorite food item during quarantine has definitely been açaí bowls. Although they aren’t the healthiest food I could be eating, it is something on the healthier side that I have eaten during quarantine compared to fast food or frozen food. Being in quarantine has completely changed the way that I live my life, my daily routine is like a clock that keeps repeating itself every day, every day is the same. Although quarantine isn’t the ideal situation to be in, I have adjusted and gotten used to life at home. My health has definitely been affected by all this but I still try to make sure I try to eat some healthy foods to balance out all the cheat meals. I can’t wait to go back to regular life when I had the ability to go everywhere and stay active.
