Before quarantine had started, I never really had a great diet to begin with. In the morning I would never have an appetite and would either eat just a little bit of food or most of the time nothing. During lunch at school, I would just have a slice of bread since I didn’t have the time to make a proper lunch or I didn’t feel hungry. Once I got home, I would eat just a quick snack to last me until it was dinner and that was it. So, it’s quite obvious that food and I never had a great relationship to begin with.
When quarantine had started, I was so bored that I would just go to the fridge and look at its contents until I found something to eat. I had frequent trips to the fridge just to cure my boredom and not because I was genuinely hungry. Many of the foods I ate were just quick snacks and I still wasn’t eating a proper meal. After a week of doing this, I realized that I should start changing the foods that I eat and start taking care of myself. I made a plan for myself to try and create foods that I would enjoy but were still healthy.
Here’s two meals that I ate:

I’m glad that I tried something new during this quarantine and it was something really different.
Now that my food problem is solved, all that’s left is to try and accept this new reality. My routine now is sitting at home and wishing to see my friends again, laying down on my bed and wondering what I would be doing right now if I could leave the house, and realizing that I will repeat all these thoughts again the next day and the day after that. Although my boredom still lingers from time to time, my new challenge is to try new activities and hobbies to do around the house. This new reality is strange and is something we aren’t used to but just know that we will get through this together.
Best Wishes to Everyone and Stay Healthy ❤
Both of those dishes look great. Is the bottom dish a pork chop? Looks tasty. Have you thought about taking an online class from a college or from a professional chef?
