Art in Itself

There’s a big misconception of art that NEEDS to stop. Everyone believes that having artistic skill and talent is only gained genetically. As a result, some people find themselves making excuses to not partake in art when they realize their art was not perfect on their first try. An example is ballet; Not all ballerinas were born extremely flexible and ready to prance delicately across the stage. They had to train their bodies for several years in advance, so don’t give up and try, try again! In fact, every person should also be involved in art itself, whether it be photography, poetry, music, or painting. Art is not a waste of time, because there are boundless possibilities once you dip your feet into this ocean of being creative.

The reasons that make art such a necessary hobby are:

  1. The spark of inspiration to create what matters to you
  2. Experimenting and learning from mistakes
  3. Being able to freely create in your own style

Gaining inspiration from your own perception of the world.

There are so many ways to express your feelings and thoughts with art. From different angles, inverting your colors, or manipulating the flow of your movement, you can emphasize the things around you and show what means most to you. By putting things in the foreground rather than the background or by listening to different stories for your writing, it changes your perspective based on the environment that influences your work. Therefore by changing your perspective of the world, you get to notice how you wish to portray your emotions and a waterfall of ideas may come from just that!

The art of exploring through your imagination and experimenting without restrictions is essential for all people. As you learn more about the different mediums in art, you develop which methods work best for you and you create own identity. It becomes your signature look as you create different forms of art and settle on your favorites. As you continue exploring, you improve your patience and endurance to overcome failures. Not everyone succeeds the first few times, so art comes with slowly accepting that your pace will be different from others. But we all improve over time and the more we learn about ourselves, the better we get at coming out of our comfort zones and openly creating whatever we want.

Applying your interpretation and meaning into your creations make them your own incredible style. You get to notice the different symbolism around you and now it affects how you’ve come to interpret other works of art. Then, the way you view something influences your work and so you create different pieces mixing your meaning to this idea. Hence a strong sense of pride and fulfillment comes once you’ve finished your own painting or created unique pieces of jewelry for your small business. Your work is yours and it allows you to stand out, recognize your value/self worth, and continue to be passionate.

It is arguable that art can take much time practicing to get better. Some argue that they don’t have enough time in their busy lives to take a minute, slow down, and create their own art. However, consistently putting in effort into your creations does not mean you have to finish something within the same day. Art is meant to be stress-relieving and allow yourself to be expressive even without words. It’s a greater way to take your mind off of school or work, rather than using that same hour to go take a TV break. It doesn’t matter how much you get done. It’s still progress and much more relaxing to jog your brain and create.

In conclusion, art is for everyone and is simple to get started. Finding inspiration, experimenting, and being innovative in your own style will allow you to open up the creative little mind you didn’t know had been hiding this whole time. Discovering more about yourself is what makes art so important. Go appreciate nature’s artwork all around you and create some new art!

Art is essential. You maybe can exist without it but you can’t truly LIVE without it.
