Hello readers! If you have opened this blog that means my Krispy Kreme title has intrigued you. In this blog post, I’m going to be discussing why I personally believe Krispy Kreme makes the best-glazed donuts.
Now, many people believe that Krispy Kreme donuts are too expensive for the quality of the donut. Some people are also saying that it’s not worth it. However, I beg to differ since the millions of tweets on Twitter say otherwise.
Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme are the two most popular donut franchises in the United States. When comparing Krispy Kreme to Dunkin’ Donuts the prices are practically the same. If anything, Krispy Kreme’s options are cheaper, as it’s seen in the chart. Krispy Kreme’s dozen donuts are $8.99 while Dunkin’ Donut’s dozen donuts costs $9.99.

Now hold on a second. I know you all must be wondering, there are plenty of donut shops all over the United States, Krispy Kreme can’t possibly be the only one who makes the best-glazed donut. You are correct! I’ll only be talking about mainstream franchise donut stores, NOT non-franchise stores or hole-in-the-walls.
One of the best things about Krispy Kreme is the quality of their donuts. The donuts are made every day and they are fried instead of baked. The difference between the two is that frying the donuts allows for there to be a lighter and fluffier texture. Whereas, baking the donuts causes the donuts to be denser and harder on the inside.
Why do they do that? Many donut stores that try to mass-produce their donuts end up baking them because the process is cleaner and doesn’t take up as much effort to deal with the aftermath. It would consist of there being a lot of oil and grease everywhere if the donuts were to be fried. Since I am specifically talking about the glazed donuts, they are made twice a day, in house my workers. Once early in the morning and once near the evening as well.
Krispy Kreme has excellent consistency! Every time I go there the donuts are always fluffy on the inside and sweet on the outside. I’m not discussing their beverages or other items, just the donuts themselves. However, I’m not saying there won’t be a bad review out there once in a while because after all, everyone does make mistakes. But it’s not often that you see Krispy Kreme slip up.
They also have seasonal change-ups! Now you must be wondering, “yeah almost every donut store has seasonal change-ups, what’s new?” These are different when compared to other large donut stores like Dunkin’ Donuts. The first photo display’s Krispy Kreme’s seasonal donuts. They look very vibrant and are decorated in a way where customers can comprehend what is on the donut.
However, the following photo is from Dunkin’. Their seasonal change-ups are a little dreary. The Easter decorated donut barely shows how fun Easter is. The same thing goes for their Halloween-decorated donuts. It doesn’t even give off the Halloween “vibe” other than the big spider on one of the donuts.
What about the people reading saying, “Krispy Kreme tastes more unhealthy than Dunkin’ and it’s fried so that must mean it’s more unhealthy!” Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is not true. The truth is revealed! Krispy Kreme’s glazed donut consists of 190 calories while Dunkin’s glazed donut consists of 240 calories. However, if you are eating a donut, it is most likely not going to be healthy either way.
In the end, Krispy Kreme will always have the most superior glazed donut because of its quality, consistency, and decorative seasonal change-ups.
