You should care because there’s no other fast food chain that makes nuggets that are this cheap and still have good ingredients. I care because Chick Fil A’s chicken is so good I could eat it every day. It’s one of those things you never get tired of. I could eat this chicken until the day I die. Some good things about Chick-Fil-A’s nuggets is that they’re made from real chicken, they are so crispy, and their prices are very affordable.
Chick-fil-A was one of the first fast food restaurants to become completely trans fat free, they only serve poultry raised without antibiotics, and they eliminated die yellow #5. Chicken is better consumed when it’s very organic and has very minimal added ingredients. Antibiotics can be very harmful towards humans in the long run.
Let’s take a look at other fast food chains. First, McDonald’s nuggets. First of all, the outer layer of crisp on their nuggets is just overall kind of soft. It’s not very crispy or crunchy at all. When you do bite into this chicken nugget, it doesn’t really look like real chicken to me, it kind of looks like some flour and water mixture. Secondly, there are a lot of air pockets. and you don’t end up getting that much chicken as you normally would from a nugget. I would give it a 5 out of 10. Moving on to Jack in the Box tenders. Their chicken is breaded so it’s a lot more crunchy. I’ll give them the fact that their chicken does look very real. But, biting into this, you could break a tooth. Breaded chicken is so crunchy. It’s a little too crunchy. When you bite off the ends of the chicken you could end up getting a more crunchy breaded piece instead of the actual chicken. Chick-Fil-A’s nuggets are a solid 10 out of 10. Such a thin layer of crisp with a slight crunch. And when you bite into it, you could tell that, that’s some real chicken. It’s not some fake, weird stuff. You got some grade A chicken.
Continuing with our McDonald’s and Jack in the box comparisons, let’s compare the prices. McDonald’s 10 count is $5.25, making it about $0.53 per nugget, which is $4.20 for an 8 count. Jack in the box 10 count is $3.99, which is about $0.40 per nugget, making it $3.20 for an 8 count. Now Chick-fil-a’s 8 count is $5.70. About $0.71 per nugget. Although Chick-fil-A is about a few cents more expensive, I think spending a couple extra cents for good chicken is a lot better than spending very little money for some weird food that has a lot of bad ingredients inside it that could end up harming you overall.
Why would healthy chicken matter? Isn’t it all the same? 10% of your diet that consists of ultra processed food can result in a 12% chance in getting cancer. Most fast food chains use antibiotics and animals that aren’t being grass fed. Antibiotics can be harmful to humans. Chick-Fil-A doesn’t have hormones, steroids, fillers, nor has it been grounded or separated. In 2019 Chick-Fil-A met their goal with having antibiotic free chicken. I don’t know about you, but I kind of want my odds of getting cancer to be 0 to 100 meaning 100% chance of not getting cancer. Rather than having a 12% chance of getting cancer from buying some low grade chicken. Things like hormones, steroids, fillers, are not good for livestock. It’s a lot better to have chicken that’s very organic and also contain minimal ingredients because they could be harmful towards us.
Fast food chains give antibiotics to livestock to prevent diseases and they enhance animal growth. When animals are being slaughtered for livestock they are surrounded by all types of animals. Diseases can be transmitted back and forth between all the animals. So, antibiotics are the easiest and fastest option to prevent diseases from spreading.
Humans should be worried about antibiotics because they can transmit drug resistant bacteria to humans. Meaning, if you were to get bacteria from this chicken that has antibiotics in it, it won’t be able to be treated by drugs and medication that are given to you. Antibiotics can also transfer drug resistant genes from agriculture into human pathogens. Again, they won’t be able to be treated by simple medications. They can cause human medications to be less effective towards infections. Your body will have to fight it off on its own. Human bodies can be less effective at fighting off bacteria, your body is going to have to work a lot harder to get rid of bacteria in your body.
Now the cost could be the most controversial topic. But would you rather eat some chicken that looks like it was made from a kid kit at the store that takes one part flour and one part water? Or would you rather eat some good chicken? It is very crispy and looks like it was made with real chicken. Risk the chances of getting infectious diseases or nice crispy tasty chicken. Your future matters. You don’t want to get diseases, you have a whole future ahead of you. You want to live your life eating some nice good chicken and spending a couple extra dollars here and there. It won’t hurt you. Treat yourself to some good chicken every once in a while and still be filling your body with healthy ingredients. A couple extra dollars won’t hurt you. You could probably find that cash in your couch cushions. It’s not like it’s a crazy, big jump from McDonald’s prices and Jack in the Box prices to Chick-fil-A prices.
In conclusion, Chick-Fil-A is the best fried chicken, fast food restaurant because of their quality, their crispiness, and their affordable prices.
