With only 3,100 stores globally, Popeyes has the tastiest chicken sandwich of all fast food places. I’m not talking about the restaurant’s full menu but only their chicken sandwich; it’s superior.

Technically it’s not a global problem, but if you are a big fan of food like me, you would want to eat at the best place. You would want to compare the quality of the food you are getting and if it is actually worth it. You want the restaurant to provide you with the cleanest food.

Specifically, we are focusing on chicken sandwiches. People are always comparing fast food places with chicken sandwiches, for example, Chick-Fil-A, Wendy’s, Burger King, and McDonald’s. But they don’t even notice that Popeyes has the best chicken sandwich. People would always make arguments and say because Popeyes chicken sandwich came out just over 1 year ago, they’re copying the original, which they say is Chick-Fil-A. But sometimes, the copy can be better than the original.

The solution is finding and trying fast food places with the best sandwich, which I will say again is Popeyes. Why waste money always trying new restaurants, one you like and ones you don’t, when you can stick to one.

And you’re probably wondering what makes the chicken sandwich so good. It’s the crunch, flavor, and buttery bun.

Before we continue, though, people are going to be comparing prices. Here is the newest McDonald Mccrispy chicken sandwich and is priced at $3.69 and has 2 pickles, and uses chicken fillet. The sauce it uses is butter, not even mayo. I tried the spicy chicken, and the smell of the sauce was horrific. I do not recommend it at all. Moving on, here is the Popeyes chicken sandwich price at $4.49; it is more expensive, but you not only get 2 pickles but 3. And they actually use chicken breast and mayo that smells delicious.

The first reason is the crunchiness of the chicken. The chicken is obviously boneless, and is deep-fried makes the crunch so noticeable. I can guarantee you that I have eaten this chicken at least 3 times a week. It is probably not healthy for me, but the chicken is irresistible. The chicken that is used for the sandwich actually fits the WHOLE BUN. In most places, the chicken is smaller than the bun, or the bun is tiny and makes the chicken seem bigger.

Next are the flavor and sauces they use. The bun is COVERED in mayo or cajun sauce if you order the spicy sandwich. This combination makes the sandwich full of flavor. It is spread evenly on the top AND bottom bun while also on both sides of the chicken. Here is a picture of the spicy chicken, and it actually uses the same sauce for their regular chicken.

Finally is the buttery bun. As you can see, the bun is a brioche bun that is extremely soft and smooth due to having more egg, butter, and milk in the recipe. The butter that is spread on top of the bun is actually the same for their biscuit. They also don’t charge extra for their bun like other fast food places. This also ties together why the flavor is so important.

A lot of people would say Popeyes is “OVERRATED”, but I disagree. Here is a comparison of Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes. Even by presentation, the Popeyes sandwich on the right looks a lot tastier than Chick-Fil-A on the left. And they actually open 7 days a week, unlike their competition.

If it wasn’t that good, would they have sold out less than 2 weeks nationwide when it was first released in August 2019. It took over 3 months for them to fully restock and relaunched the sandwich in November 2019. This is a statement released from the brand that it’s surprised them. But you shouldn’t be surprise, their chicken sandwich is top tier. This picture demonstrates how long their line is for the chicken sandwich alone.
