There is much competition in the chicken sandwich business with such options like Popeye’s, Cane’s, Wendy’s and McDonald’s. However only one goes the extra mile to provide the best experience for you and it’s Chick-fil-A. For many reasons, Chick-fil-A is a great option for casual dining including their quality of chicken, how they have philanthropic values, and great service.
However, of course one business isn’t going to be perfect. Chick-fil-A has a bad reputation with some controversy in the past. Although, they have learned and improved from their mistakes.

Some people say that Chick-fil-A only cares about their image and reputation. Chick-fil-A has faced some backlash over the years about where they truly stand with their values. They were caught donating to organizations that were against the LGBTQ+ community. In all fairness, Chick-fil-A is known to be religious and they weren’t donating actively against the community but were passively supporting organizations aligned with their core beliefs/religion. I do not support their stance on this certain subject at all, but I can fully say that they were sticking to their beliefs. After being called out in the media, they claimed to have stopped donating to those organizations and now donate to better causes. Chick-fil-A now grants funds to universal charities that involve helping out our community. These include education, homelessness, and hunger. In common knowledge, a business is going to care about their image because that’s what attracts customers and sets them apart from their competition. All in all, everyone makes mistakes, but over time they can learn from their wrongs. Chick-fil-A has shown this evolution in character but on top of that, they’ve developed other attributes that improve their marketing.
One reason as to why I love about Chick-fil-A is their quality of chicken and other ingredients that make up their wholesome chicken sandwich.

Chick-fil-A states that they use 100% real and boneless chicken that has never been ground or separated. Their chicken contains no fillers or added steroids too. In the past, Chick-fil-A announced plans to serve their chicken raised without antibiotics in its restaurants nationwide and they stuck with it. Fun fact! The capital “A” in Chick-fil-A was on purpose and it stands for their grade A top quality chicken!
Another thing I love about Chick-fil-A is how they have philanthropic values.

Chick-fil-A has many other views that help out our community. After stating that they now donate to better causes, they give back to the community by donating to different organizations that relate to homelessness, education, and hunger. There are many different sponsored events that occur, but one in specific is called “The Chick-fil-A Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America”. This is an annual charity motorcycle tour to raise money for different charities, and one being Victory Junction, which is a camp for terminally ill children.
My last reason as to why Chick-fil-A is a great business is because of their amazing customer service.

Every time I walk into Chick-fil-A, I get welcomed with warm greetings. Their customer service sets them apart from other establishments due to their great management. From my experience, workers are always polite and respond with their signature saying, “My pleasure.”

Chick-fil-A believes in great service to improve business strategy. But why? Although it may be part of their policy, they want their customers to feel comfortable and satisfied so that they’ll want to come back for more. They use good service as a business strategy to attract customers, unlike other places that add new items in order to do so. By saying “My pleasure,” they make their customers feel valued and it’s also simply a nice way to tell someone that you were pleased to serve them.

Why do these things matter to us? It’s not just about the food but also the people we are supporting in this process. Whenever someone says hi to you or gives a friendly smile, you become recognized. How and why does recognition positively impact your self-worth? It makes you feel good about yourself because you’re getting noticed by another individual. It’s nice to know that people still show kindness in our community and that they can take time out of their day to make a small action. It makes you feel as though you’re not just a random face passing by. A small gesture can make someone feel valued and by showing compassion, it can make someone’s day. Being recognized puts you in the present and brings understanding to someone’s value.

How did human evolve from these values? Why are humans so developed in hospitality? Humans have evolved for the needs to interact with each other. Interaction creates loyalty, respect, and gratitude in the community. In the past, it allowed us social humans to succeed in a way that created these social classes. For example, strangers would be trusted into homes and hosts would be expected to let them in, but we have come a long way since. Still, we value all of the comforts in a friendly greeting and it’s allowed us to thrive in a sense of community, even if there are more business and ulterior motives in opening up these relationships. Business is also like a higher social class. They both use social skills to succeed and be admired by the people of the community. In other words, this relates back to what was stated earlier on how having good service leads to customer loyalty.
Of course, not everybody has the same opinion and some may disagree with mine on Chick-fil-A.
“So how does Chick-fil-A rank when it comes to sodium? It’s not good. At 1350 mg, the CFA Chicken Sandwich is well above the sodium content of other comparable fast food chicken sandwiches. McDonald’s McChicken has just 590 mg, while Wendy’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich has only slightly more at 600 mg. Considering the daily recommended maximum sodium intake is 2,300 mg, chowing down on one Chick-fil-A sandwich is fairly detrimental to your diet.”
–Why You Should Never Eat At Chick-Fil-A Again
I found an article that states how Chick-fil-A isn’t a great business and one of the reasons this writer uses is how Chick-fil-A uses a lot of sodium. They state that Chick-fil-A uses more than any other fast food place. The last sentence from the quote that I pulled says that one sandwich is detrimental to your diet. However, when going to a fast food place, you’re not going for healthy options. It’s a fast food place, so it’s not going to be exactly healthy. Although, most restaurants will offer healthier options. So for example, regarding a sandwich, Chick-fil-A offers a grilled chicken sandwich. This option still isn’t going to be healthy but it’s definitely going to be healthier than the fried options. But in points stated earlier, you’re not going to a fast food place for healthy options but rather for taste and convenience that’s worth your money. However, a few reasons that I go are because of their quality, philanthropic values and good service.
