Pinterest’s Superiority

Many people infer that Pinterest is not a necessity. What is the point of using this app when I could Google search everything? Well, I beg to differ because the content released on their website and app is the core for inspiration, while being informative and up to date. Of course, there are other social media platforms to look for inspiration, but the quality is only a fraction in comparison to Pinterest. It is completely free and allows for personalization according to your interests. Pinterest is the best website to expand your creativity because of its visuals, the amount of engagement daily, and how it is consistently updated with the newest trends.

For starters, the visuals that first appear on the home page of Pinterest is what makes it so appealing. Looking at images instead of lengthy passages allows for efficiency and overall easier access. There are thousands of boards under specific categories and even a billion pins to choose from! According to Pinterest Analytics, these are the five most popular topics that are searched:

As mentioned, Pinterest selects topics that meets one’s personal interests. In fact, a large portion of the demographic is currently interested in recipes, outfit ideas, dream trips, DIYs (do-it-yourself), and quotes. You could never get bored of scrolling through Pinterest because its content seems practically endless. There are even related pins connecting to one current image which allows for similar concepts to compile up. Sometimes, it is even referenced as the Pinterest Rabbit Hole since a large majority of favorited pins were from the “related” section.

Besides that, the formatting of Pinterest is idealistic because it does not only support the users, but also small creators. Nearly 97% of pins are unbranded underneath a large corporation, therefore, small blog websites are able to gain revenue and traffic. The marketing strategy that Pinterest attains to is beneficial for all three parties: the company itself, the users, and the Pinfluencers. When users are on Pinterest, oftentimes they are interacting with normal people for new information and inspiration. Content that is more relatable tends to accel because the audience strives to feel a personal connection. On the other hand, Pinterest’s company and the Pinfluencers are able to receive a substantial amount of engagement which results in personal earnings as well.

As long as creators put out content through linking their blogs or websites, they are most likely able to receive a partial paycheck. If you are releasing more material, more engagement should be anticipated!

Did you know that Pinterest has 459 MILLION users at the moment? The demographic on Pinterest provides a large variety of cultures where their ideas are diffused across the world through images, blog posts, websites, videos, etc. Almost think of it as your personalized mood board or scrapbook. You can curate numerous interests, activities, and new things to try on your personal board. Ok, but what if the visuals on my home page do not fit my interests? It’s okay, especially for those who are new users. It takes a little time for the curriculum to specifically select what you like, however, it should take too long. Not only that, but individuals of all generations use Pinterest, therefore, there is no way that there is NOT a single thing that satisfies one’s need.

Look! Look! Not only is Gen Z involved with Pinterest, but so are the Boomers, Generation X, and the Millennials. It’s been reported that almost one out of the two Millennials use Pinterest on a daily basis for personal problems.

Alright, if that didn’t convince you of the pros of Pinterest… Guess what? Pinterest personally obtains two other websites that corresponds to the users and business marketing side to stay constantly updated on the latest trends. As a teenager myself, it feels quite rewarding when you understand other references that kids the same age or younger makes.

You wouldn’t want to be behind on trends, do you?????

For instance, trendlines are recorded on a weekly basis for the most searched topics and the data that is collected is placed on Pinterest Analytics. As stated previously, the five most popularized topics are commonly decoration, recipes, outfits ideas, quotes, and crafts. Pinterest Predicts is another variation that allows businesses stay on top off tomorrow’s ideas. Pinfluencers will be able to release content that is related to the following month’s possible top trends. Eight out of the ten times, Pinterest’s predications are accurate and it allows for the creators to flourish and prosper on this social media platform. Furthermore, this was according to Pinterest, the upcoming trends of March.

So for this month, these are some of the expected trends. Since Easter and St. Patrick’s Days are prominent holidays celebrated here in America, but in other countries as well, they are represented in nail art as well as decoration. Having a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing outfit with painted shoes especially Air Force 1s have been popularized on TikTok. Teenagers are usually attracted to Pinterest to look for inspiration that might be out of their comfort zone.

Well as you can see, no other website could beat Pinterest for inspiration because of its up to date resources, the growing audience, and multitude of illustrations available. It is the 4th largest social network in the world a clearly valid reason. Its goal to satisfy the needs of individuals as well as other websites makes it worthy for this claim.
