Beyond the Scope

As a child, everyone grows up with dreams. Dreams of success, fortune, self realization, and satisfaction. More often than not, they fail to achieve their far-reaching goals because of doubt, stress, or other responsibilities. People will then settle for less than what they initially had in mind, believing that they should already be satisfied with what they’ve already accomplished. But what about in a case where someone is still dissatisfied? How would you rather live: A static, unfulfilling life or a life that’s accomplished its spirited dreams?

A dream should never be given up on. It’s the remnant of a youthful past and a means of motivation. Additionally, it gives a meaning to living and once achieved, will be a worthwhile story to share and to inspire others to follow their own goals.

But how would one go about achieving their goals? Patience and plan. Working towards your goal, one day at a time, will inevitably bring forth the fruits of your labor in due time. At an art perspective, if you’ve always dreamed of painting a large canvas, dedicate a fraction of your day to researching the topic. Then, afterwards, work towards your goal by painting bit by bit until you’re satisfied. Look forward to the day where you finish, with a marvelous piece to hang on your wall as proof that you did it. You achieved one of your dreams. I believe that the principle of working bit by bit a day can be applied anywhere, and dreams are much more feasible with it.

By putting in dedication and effort everyday, you develop courage and work ethic, not to mention an achievement worth sharing with others. Don’t ever be afraid of going beyond the scope of what people deem as enough. Your endeavors will be worth it, so don’t fall short of what you ever bargain for.

  1. I really love how you encourage everyone to keep pushing toward their dreams, even when life gets hard, you must keep going day by day. I can personally relate to wanting to be more than life than a statistic. My personal background and hardships I have already overcome make me a statistic, but a positive one. I think everyone should strive for greatness, and as you said, take it one day at a time!
