Do you think this Coronavirus is ruining your life? Unfortunately, I am not the only one thinking that this isolation is affecting us positively. I find this quarantine situation hindering my future. This year, I was planning to try out for volleyball. However, everything changed when the Coronavirus came to America. What’s worse is that I’m stuck with online learning since my family is afraid of catching the Coronavirus. Seniors that are graduating missed out on celebrating their last year in high school. This feeling of disappointment and sadness could be compared to having a birthday party and no one comes to it. You would think that this year couldn’t get any worse but that is sadly incorrect. Earlier this week, we have found murder hornets have returned in Washington which made the people are afraid. Bill Gates once said that we were not prepared for another epidemic. Frankly, I believe he is right. Schools are changing the rules to accommodate today’s problems and the people are not abiding by the laws of self-isolation. Another problem that we have is the presidential election. The news says that the Trump campaign website was hacked and was defaced by a message. The bottom line, it means not even the elections are safe. If this keeps up, 2020 could be the worst year in this generation. The reason why I’m saying this is that we didn’t achieve anything positive that would revolutionize humanity. Overall, we have had fires, a pandemic, the elections turning sour, people losing their jobs, and students having a part of their future taken away. I doubt that 2021 is going to be any better because we still don’t have a vaccine for the virus which leads to the problem that we can’t go back to our regular daily lives for a while. To conclude, we should’ve been more prepared for a situation like these to keep the people calm.
