Do you ever wonder if the world is going to end and when? I definitely have thought about this many times. Especially during the last 8 months I thought things were going to change for sure. A lot has happened since March and everyone has been having a different experience with everything. When things were bad I wished life could be on Mars. 

In the Scavengers video we watched, there were a lot of things that could be related to us humans finding life on Mars. The people that found life on planet Vesta left because the world they were living in before was becoming very dangerous. With all the wildfires, climate change, dangerous protests, and a worldwide pandemic caused by a virus we still haven’t been able to find a cure for, makes our world seem very concerning. All these things happening and nothing being able to stop them makes me wonder if we will ever be able to get away from this. Is there a cure for the virus? Can climate change be stopped? Will people start paying attention to the problems going around or will we still have to let our voice be heard by organizing protests? Or could we run away from our problems and go to Mars?

Now obviously life is not sustainable for us on Mars, but what if there were to be two people, like the ones in the Scavengers video, who would explore Mars for us. They would explore the different animals and creatures and see what they are like. They wouldn’t be normal everyday astronauts like the ones who usually go up into space. They would be two average people to try and sustain life on Mars. 

The Scavengers video makes me think about our world a lot. I always wonder if things will ever get bad enough that the Scavengers video will become a reality. It keeps me thinking a lot but I don’t think things will ever get that bad to where we are having to go to another planet. But I guess we’ll never really know. Right?
