Spooky Poem

Part 1

There once were three kids

Walking alone

They find a house

Nobody was home

One kid said “Let’s go inside”

Another pleaded “no”

The last kid shouted

“We have to go”

 The night grew darker

The day was gone

Fascinated by this house

Yet it felt so wrong

Keeping their eyes shut

Didn’t want to hear the screams

Each child buried their heads

Not everything is what it seems

The kids were swallowed by fear

Their worst nightmares came to life

The exit door is wide open

But they willing became a sacrifice

Crying and weeping

They rest 6 ft underground

Three kids now sleeping

Three bodies upside down

Part 2

As weeks go by

Parents long for their kids

Hope they’re alive

But the house forbids

 They hang up flyers

Hours they search

They find a house

By the abandoned church

So they wander inside

And to their demise

The door welcomes them

Too a terrible surprise

Bodies stacked on top of each other

Spread across a dining table

It seemed almost imaginary

Their minds are unstable

Tears stream down their checks

The parents were hexed

Their children were breathless

And they were next

Part 3

The house waited patiently

Feeding off of one’s fear

Restless and hungry

Desperate for someone to come near

It’s been awhile

Since it’s had a feast

Bones scattered all over the place

Pounds of flesh and meat

But don’t let the fear trick you

Why it seems that those people are dead

You’re surely mistaken

But those terrors were all in their head
