SLEEP?

Sleep… In the words of Little Orphan Annie, “…what’s that? Who’s he?” (It’s the Hard-Knock Life) With the copious amounts of homework and studying needed to achieve satisfactory grades we are left with insufficient amounts of sleep. Oftentimes we show up to classes exhausted and in dire need of a nap. In order to feed our hunger for sleep we have to resort to naps which lead to sleeping late, causing an endless cycle of feeling drained and sapped of all energy. However, there is a solution to be found. Organized sleep schedules!

As a fellow busy high school student with a constantly shifting sleep schedule I know two things to be true. Sleep directly influences productivity and maintaining a good sleep schedule is becoming exceedingly important as we are now required to actively participate in online school. This past week I’ve been trying to keep a steady sleep schedule and it has had an immense impact on my productivity. Although sleeping at 1 in the morning may seem unconventional, this coupled with a 2 hour nap after school has served me well. I have more time to do homework and more energy as well. In summation, an orthodox sleep schedule may not be for everyone and different sleep schedules work for different people.
