Dear young teenagers,
Hey, it’s me Kobe Bryant. I can’t make it to you right now but I have some time to tell you a little something about life. As a teen, you probably are nervous of your future and whatever path that lays in front of you. You don’t know the answers and you may feel lost in this crazy world. I’m here to tell you that this is all just part of growing up. Everyone has their fears and a little voice inside their head telling themselves you can’t do something. That voice is simply resistance, it doesn’t want you to grow, evolve, or transform into something greater. My whole life I have been chasing my passion, basketball. I worked at it day in and night out even when my muscles tore and my body begged me for some rest. When I had made it to the league, I worked even harder, I never let myself settle for less. I had to believe in myself when no one else would because in the end, only we are the ones to dictate our future. Life is more often than not filled with things that you can’t control, so never let a failure bring you down. No one is holding you back besides yourself because the truth is, you have potential that your mind hasn’t even fathomed yet. I can’t wait to see you living your dreams!
See you later – Kobe 😀
This made me very sad. I think he would have enjoyed seeing his team in the finals.
