My mind was so foggy. I could not think straight or concentrate on working. I felt my habit of spacing out getting worse. I used pomodoro timer to keep track of my productivity. Without the timer, I would spend too much time on one subject and not know what took me so long to do homework. During the first week we were given assignments I would tell myself, “Work work work,” until something comes up in my mind, “Ok I need to check snapchat for a minute and see what my friend said!” However, one minute became 2 which became 5 and 10. I realized what I needed to do. I placed my phone outside of my room because of the saying, “Out of sight, out of mind.” This was effective because everytime I would think “hey I should go check my phone!” I would realize, “oh my phone is not within my reach.”

I found a youtube music video called “Lofi fruits” which I played during homework to help me focus.
Of course the music sort of relaxed me, and put me into the zone. I was not sure how effective it was until one day I tried working without it and it was difficult.
More importantly was to take breaks between each task. A French teacher taught me
