Learning Away From School

There is no doubt that 2020 has been a trip, from January to now, June, there has always been some sort of political or societal obstacle that has changed our lives in both good or bad ways. Regardless of what has occurred, as students, it is our duty to continue on learning for the next school year. During this year my experience has been mixed. At first, when the initial quarantine started, it actually worked out well for me, as it helped me catch up with most of my school work that I was barely keeping up with. During the first week of quarantine, I was supposed to take two tests on week back, and I was barely understanding the material at the time, so the quarantine almost acted like barrier that saved my grade.

As time progressed, this quarantine slowly started not working so well. The reason why I say this is because learning away from home in some ways is restricting you are not prepared. In my opinion, this lock down was so sudden that only a handful of teacher barely prepared for this situation. In the end this restricted the amount of information I would have learned if I was still school helping me be more prepared for next year. Regardless whether what I learned is good or bad, this experience was most certainly a memorable one. In general, when the Fall of 2020 arrives and a new school year begins, the quarantine is most likely to continue. I find that the method of distance learning where we use Chromebook seems to be the optimal version of teaching, although it didn’t let me learn as much I blame the fact that in general teachers were not prepared. The only common setback in my opinion, was the motivation part of doing work from the comfort of my home, but this to me seems to me that all it requires is good discipline which easily can be achieved through patience and practice.
