Quarantine Learning

Learning during quarantine was a challenge and an adventure. It was something new for everybody and I feel as though everyone had a different experience. Some people had siblings crowding their space. Some people had to deal with pets. Others had to deal with being around their family for a long period of time. And some had the challenge of not having the right resources to complete school tasks.

It was a big thing to adjust to and one thing I noticed was that quarantine really showed me which teachers were more involved with their students than others. Taking into account that all teachers teach differently, some were way more interactive than others. I found that I learned best from the ones that did weekly check ups on us and gave us things to respond to. I also think I learned better from assignments that involved a more creative aspect because I generally like to do artsy things. An example of one of those projects is up above. The picture is from one of my classmates and the assignment was to create a remix of an album cover. My classmate was very creative and recreated an album by Clairo called Pretty Girl. My hope for the upcoming years of online learning is that the teachers will be motivated and will try to teach us to the best of their ability. That way it won’t be like our generation got a gap in our learning.
