Quarantine has been one of the more interesting experiences to have encountered in my life. There have been many different obstacles, but none as irritating as isolation. Not being able to visit others or meet friends as previously possible has been a very bleak challenge to add to the conundrum. Overall, quarantine has been more troublesome than originally advertised; some have even taken to the streets to protest, which was likely done out of boredom.
As have been caught in this predicament, one might believe that there is nothing to do to pass the time. However, there is quite a number of activities that could be accomplished in the meantime, some of which couldn’t have been done before the isolation period.
To avoid catching the “boredom bug,” consider forming a list of interests that could be done at home. Personally, I have been finally cleaning up my area to create a more comfortable feel, which in turn, has kept me occupied. There are multiple tasks that can be done to keep one busy. It is easier to forget about the fact that everyone is trapped in their homes if they can find something they enjoy.
Quarantine was implemented for our safety and to protect the public. It may be mundane and tiresome, but with a few bit of assignments to do, one could be engaged for long periods of time. It is a truly dreadful incident that is happening, but it can be turned into a positive event based on what you choose to do with it. The process can be shifted into whatever you want it to be if you are willing to change your perspective. It is perfectly normal to miss the daily activities that once were, but there is only a slight shift to those tasks. Not being able to do what you usually want to allows room for creativity — combine that with a little bit of imagination and anything could be recreated.
