During quarantine, many people are battling anxiety, depression, and other psychological barriers which may have been preexisting or they may have arisen during this quarantine. For me, not being able to see my friends has definitely taken a toll on me. I miss all of the hugs, conversations, and love I received everyday. Now, the closest thing I can get to true human interaction is a FaceTime call which obviously is not the same as the real thing. I thrive off of interaction and hanging out with my friends but now, I simply cannot do that. But, within my home, I find a safe place at my dinner table. Its the one place in the house where we gather every night to enjoy a homemade meal. It is also the place where I can be around others and have us all engage in conversation together. I look forward to the day that I can finally reunite with all of my friends but until then, I’m surviving thanks to the aid of my family.
