This new situation we are in has created fear and stress. We never knew that there would be a chaotic time like this and it’s strange for all of us. Now that we are all stuck in our homes, we miss the feeling of being outside and once we run out of things to do in quarantine, it will drive us insane. But, we can conquer this strangeness and fear if we find our place of comfort and find ways to survive while being in our homes.
In this crazy and strange situation, I’ve been doing activities that make me feel safe and confident that I can get through this. The one activity that I know I can trust in doing so is reading. Reading has allowed me to dive deep into a story and enter into a new world. I appreciate and find comfort reading the words that the author has placed on the pages. I sometimes read books that I haven’t read in a long time and reading it over again brings back joyful memories. I’ve never realized how much reading can influence my life that I now find relaxation in it and know that I can look up to it when I’m in my worst stages.

Our familiarity with things brings us safety and comfort just like how I felt with my books. Similar with the podcast about the Girl Who Fell From The Sky, Juliane Koepcke was able to survive the forest by using her knowledge of what she knows of the forest as she was able to get familiar with it in the past. I learned how familiarity can make us feel at ease even in our most difficult times. Even though we are all separated and are going through different situations in our homes, we can all find our comfort place and get though this together.
Best Wishes To Everyone and Stay Safe ❤
